Ratepayers Association<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43457\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43456\">In July, the Lake Associations met and agreed on five core\/shared values:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43455\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43454\">The Environment is our Economy<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43440\">No High-Density Residential Developments on our Lakes<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_41703\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_41702\">We are One Community of Permanent and Seasonal Residents<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43453\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\">Improved Fiscal Responsibility<\/li>\n<li id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43452\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43451\">Good and Civil Governance<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43443\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43442\">The Associations also agreed to provide information and guidance to our members regarding the candidates running for office through the following selection process:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43449\" class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43448\">All of the 13 candidates running for office were interviewed by a committee consisting of Presidents or Directors of five different associations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43446\">The candidates were also evaluated based upon their positions on key issues and the answers they provided during the two hour All Candidates Meeting sponsored by the lake associations, held on August 30 at the Terry Fox Auditorium.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\"><span id=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1537972066599_43445\">For incumbents candidates running for re-election, the selection process also considered their performance on Council and their voting records over the past four years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"m_-7306745501279240713gmail-m_-7241095209659080752gmail-yiv2778713697MsoNormal\">For your convenience we have included a PDF of the Gravenhurst Aligned Candidates List. We suggest you save it on your computer, print out several copies, and share them with your friends and neighbours.
